Garage Floors (Epoxy & Coatings)
We transform worn out garage floors into clean, professional spaces with durable epoxy coatings.
Why Upgrade Your Garage Floor
Your garage floor takes a beating. Oil stains, tire marks, salt, and chemicals all wear down bare concrete. Over time, the surface becomes dull, stained, and hard to clean. A quality epoxy coating protects your concrete and makes your garage look like new.
Epoxy coatings are not just for looks. They seal the concrete, making it resistant to moisture, chemicals, and stains. They also make the floor easier to sweep and mop. If you use your garage as a workshop, home gym, or extra living space, a coated floor makes it more comfortable and functional.
We serve homeowners and businesses throughout Lancaster and the surrounding areas. Types of Garage Floor Coatings
Not all garage floor coatings are the same. We offer several options so you can choose the right system for your needs and budget.
Epoxy Coatings
Epoxy is the most popular choice for garage floors. It is a two part system that bonds to the concrete and creates a hard, durable surface. Epoxy coatings come in solid colors or with decorative flakes that add texture and hide imperfections. We offer a variety of colors and flake combinations so you can customize the look of your garage.
Polyaspartic Coatings
Polyaspartic coatings are a newer technology that offers faster curing times and better UV resistance than epoxy. You can drive on a polyaspartic floor in as little as 24 hours. These coatings are ideal if you need your garage back in service quickly or if you want a finish that will not yellow over time.
Flake Systems
Flake systems combine a base coat with colored flakes that are broadcast onto the surface. This creates a multi tone, textured finish that hides dirt and adds grip. Flake systems are popular because they look great and are very forgiving. Small imperfections in the concrete disappear under the flakes.
Clear Sealers
If you want to protect your concrete without changing its appearance, a clear sealer is a good option. Sealers penetrate the concrete and create a barrier against moisture and stains. They are less expensive than full coatings but do not offer the same level of durability or visual impact. We also install concrete slabs for new garage construction and can repair damaged floors with our concrete repair services.
How We Install Garage Floor Coatings
A quality coating job starts with proper surface preparation. Skipping this step is the most common reason why coatings fail. We take the time to prepare your floor correctly so the coating lasts for years.
Surface Preparation
We start by cleaning the floor and removing all oil, grease, and contaminants. Then we grind or etch the concrete to open the pores and create a rough surface. This allows the coating to bond properly. If your floor has cracks or damage, we repair those areas before applying any coating.
Applying the Base Coat
Once the floor is prepped, we apply the base coat. For epoxy systems, this is a two part mixture that we roll or squeegee onto the floor. We work in sections to ensure even coverage and avoid lap marks. If you chose a flake system, we broadcast the flakes onto the wet base coat.
Top Coat and Finishing
After the base coat cures, we apply a clear top coat. This seals the surface, adds shine, and provides extra protection. The top coat also makes the floor easier to clean. For polyaspartic systems, the top coat cures quickly so you can use your garage sooner.
Cure Time and Care
Cure times vary depending on the coating system and temperature. Most epoxy floors are ready for foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicle traffic in 3 to 5 days. Polyaspartic coatings cure faster. We provide detailed care instructions so you can keep your new floor looking great.
